My yoga lineage is in the traditional Ashtanga Vinyasa method, with additional training in functional yoga therapy, yin yoga, and prenatal/postpartum. My teaching takes the approach that each of us shows up to the mat with unique bodies, histories and needs. I use the physical practice of yoga as a way to heal, strengthen and align body, mind and breath. I incorporate pranayama, mudras and meditation into my alignment-focused studio classes and private sessions.

For all private lessons, I can come to the comfort of your own home or provide a studio space for private instruction, with mats and props included.
Types of Classes
Postural Assessments: A comprehensive postural and dynamic movement assessment helps to identify and understand your body’s strengths and weakness in everyday movement. Using the tools of structural and functional yoga therapy, we’ll get to know your body, its stories of life, injuries and your unique needs before we move create a personalized home practice plan. Take home therapy practices to integrate alongside your home yoga practice and daily movement awareness to strengthen, balance and align your body on and off the mat. This session is recommended as an in-depth body consultation before beginning regular private lessons.
Beginner: Perfect for first-time and newer practitioners. These orientation sessions cover the foundational principles of the practice, with a strong focus on breathing and alignment, integrating basic flow techniques, and finishing with a deep relaxation.
Intermediate: This is for the experienced yogi who wishes to move into a deeper understanding of the practice. The sessions move at faster pace flowing through sun salutations, standing postures, core strengthening, back bends, forward bends, hip-openers, and finish with guided meditation. Deeper focus on pranayama (breathing exercises) and philosophy are integrated into the practice of movement meditation.
Prenatal/Postpartum: These sessions are for expecting and new mamas. Learn how to deepen breath connection, improve circulation, ease digestion, maintain a limber spine, strengthen your foundation, balance pelvic floor muscles, and prepare for the transition from pregnancy to birth. Through gentle supporting asana, breathwork, meditation and discussion, you will develop confidence and nurture your innate wisdom to connect with your body and baby, enjoying the sacred journey of pregnancy and birth.
Pranayama: Explore the practice of conscious breathing, from the anatomy of the breath to basic and advanced techniques of pranayama to enhance your life on and off the mat.
Meditation: Experience the profound benefits of meditation in a one-on-one setting and receive private instruction to help you overcome the challenges in creating a meditation practice at home. Learn the practice through a guided meditation and receive recordings to take home with you between private sessions.
Sports Training: Perfect for any athlete who wants to compliment their training with a yoga practice that will increase their flexibility and center their focus. Learn about functional anatomy and how to integrate more awareness into your daily movement.
Small Group: Gather together a group of your friends for private group instruction. Lessons are tailored to your groups needs, and still provide ample time for individualized attention. Group rates for small groups of 2-5 participants.
