Wind of Change: An Elemental Workshop
“The wind of change is inviting us to meditate on the essential nature of our co-existence. Let it be our guide.”
In this transitional time, we are welcoming a time blessed by the elemental wisdom of Wood and Wind, expressing itself through movement, transformation and change. In traditional chinese medicine, the overwhelming presence of wood and wind elements is usually caused by a metal element imbalance. The wisdom of metal element is linked to the lungs, related to the process of grieving, and the need for honoring space to breathe into the unknown mystery. In this moment, we are invited to breathe together, in harmonious presence. In this moment, we are invited to distance ourselves from the old way, and trust the wind of change. Slowly. Patiently. Gracefully. What is certain is that nothing is ever certain, or permanent. Here we are, receiving a pure occasion to witness the wisdom of the way of Nature.
In this collaborative workshop with Jade of Wao Tea, we’ll explore the five elements through two lenses – Chinese medicine and Ayurveda – and the wisdom these traditions have to share on balance and finding harmony with nature. The wisdom of nature can teach us how to navigate change with greater ease and grace. Through discussion, guided meditation, breathwork and tea practice, learn simple but powerful tools for coming back into your body and finding stillness within.
This is a donation-based workshop. We welcome all to attend and hope to provide a space for community and connection. If you can’t attend live, we will be sharing the recording for those who’ve signed up, along with a beautiful guide. Please RSVP online in advance.
